Since we migrated to Azure, we've had the ability to track emails sent to our customers.
Some interesting metrics are:
- 0.05% of emails have bounced (wrong email addresses)
- 78% have been opened by customers (some minor mail providers don’t provide this information)
- 21% have been delivered but not opened
Having a great HMTL template not only helps your brand awareness with your customers (as it’s the first mail they see in their inbox) but doing things like:
- making the amounts and dates clear
- including "pay now" options to increase the likelihood of customer paying and reduces the chances of a late payment
